Pink PS2?

April 1, 2008

Yeah — it’s true. I found this awesome picture of a pink Playstation 2, plus, the SLIM version!!! Take a looksie for yourself.

pink-ps2.png
I know. You don’t see THIS these days. But still — it makes the PS2 look more fashionable. Haha! I like the color!

Anyway… I have a special message I’d like to make to the La’s…

Ahem… Dear Chantel and Carly,
YOU STILL HAVEN’T GOT ME A BIRTHDAY PRESENT!!! You have to get me one, okay? You guys still have your old PS2 that you don’t use, right? Can I have that one? Pleeeeeease? I’m gonna be lonely without the Wii once Niki graduates… sob*. I need a game system. I need more fun in my life! Thank you very much.

Yours truly, As Always, and the kid you always babysit, and the kid you knew since I was one years old,
Sakura Liu

Sorry. I had to do that. I just had to — well the whole Wii thing is actually true. My brother said he was going to take it with him when he moves. Sobs even more*. Sigh*… yeah. I’ve NEVER owned a game system to myself, not once in my whole entire life. For eleven years, I shared a game system with my bro, Niki. The Wii, well, yeah, he bought it with his own money… I spent all my money to help my Dad pay for stuff. Right now, I have $0. I know — sad, isn’t it?

Well anyway. Yesterday, me and my Mom went to Hollywood video, and I rented a game (for my own good). The Sims 2: Pets. Wee!

Okay. I’m not sure on what to say now… so let’s jibber jabber later. Goodbye, fairwell, have a nice day, and have a nice Spring Break.

P.S. Chantel and Carly, you still owe me something!

Last Dinner with Friends

March 29, 2008

Well… I’m sort of bored cause’ the Slumber Party is over, now. It was great fun, all right — we were talking about random stuff at midnight.

So anyway. Yesterday, the second day of the slumber party, we were running a lot outside, so it turns out that the next day (today), I had a bad neckache. Ugh… my body hurts now.

So now, some of our friends are coming over to eat dinner and to spend time with us. Trust me — they’re not JUST my friends, they were my babysitters since I was one years old. They’re the best of the best.

Before all this happened, I just snacked down on a Yogo’s Roller, and played a little of SONIC HEROES — it MAY sound dumb, but actually, it’s pretty fun. After that, obviously, I played SSBB (Super Smash Brothers Brawl). Like I said, it’s the best WII Game that I know of right now, and I still haven’t complained about anything on it.

Well yeah. I’m not sure on what to say now… so let’s just get together later, and talk more about the everyday fuss. See ya lata.

Super Slumber

March 28, 2008

Man — I just came back from a Slumber party today, and it was a blast! No question about it. So first, we watched “Legally Blond 2″. It’s hilarious… um yeah. I’m not sure on how to describe movies… so then, when more people arrived, we had dinner (cause’ the party started at around 6:00), and went to watch “Nancy Drew”. By the time the movie was over, it was midnight, so we went to bed.

That’s not the point. The POINT IS is that we stayed up till 3:00 AM. Haha — funny… we were just talking and gossiping (FYI, I did not gossip…)
So then, we woke up today at 7:00 AM. I know — crazy. I thought we’d wake up in the afternoon.

Okay, so then we ate breakfast (which was awesome). We had Chocolate chip pancakes homemade by my friend’s Dad. I gotta admit, it was really good… someday, I NEED the recipe.
Then, we got bored, so we watched “Austin Powers 2 – The Spy Who Shagged Me”. About an hour later, we decided to play Twister. I got a bad leg cramp from playing it — haha!

Um… I think that’s about it. Anyhow — it was still fun. We also played a little of Guitar Hero at the end. Yeah…
So that’s it. My big Super Slumber party!

Thank you LimeWire!

March 26, 2008

Hey, sorry I didn’t post yesterday — it was because I was too busy with all this iPod stuff… I just figured out that you have to pay for songs on iTunes, and I thought that was pretty dumb. My Brother helped me out with a few stuff, and introduced me to LimeWire. LimeWire is amazing! It’s a system that allows you to download all your favorite songs, videos, podcasts (etc.) onto your iPod — and quick. Movies will take about an hour to download… I’m sorry to say (haha).

Speaking of which, I just finished downloading “Finding Nemo”. Haha! And it WORKS. Don’t worry about downloading spam and viruses. Trust me, LimeWire wouldn’t even afford that. If you’re interested in LimeWire, click the button below. You can download songs on any Music player.

Well yeah. Today’s post wasn’t THAT entertaining, but it’s good for today — I taught myself a valuable lesson, too. Don’t go wandering around the Internet to look for songs… lots of spam, pop-ups and viruses. NO MORE DEAD COMPUTERS!

5 year old Chinese Breakdancer!

March 23, 2008

Pause at 1:37 — it looks like he farts. HAHA!

There are only three words to this: OH MY GOSH. I just snagged this off of YouTube, and yet, this kid’s amazing. I like it when people breakdance, especially little people, cause’ sometimes, they beat the older people in a game of Dance. Haha! Asians have a lot of skill… from dancing to drawing to balancing and even the Acrobats (oh yeah). ASIANS RULE!

Have I ever mentioned that this little breakdancer is only five? At first, it was hard to believe for me, too. When I just clicked on this link on YouTube, I was like, “Yeah, little kid, breakdancing… riiiiight.” And sooner or later I’m freaking out XD.

Well, the three people went home today. Actually one of them went home yesterday cause’ she was busy with something in Kentucky… so we just went out to eat dinner at Fortune Star last night JUST to make them feel comfortable. I gotta admit, my Mom’s friend’s daughter is really nice. She’s just like my girl cousin — eighteen years old, brown hair, style… you know. Yeah, I talked to her a little, and we just talked randomly.
It was fun :P

So yeah. I hope that’s enough for you today, cause’ I’m just gonna go now. See ya lata.

Sims 3?!

March 22, 2008

I’m a SIMS fan myself! I’ve played about two games out of the whole SIMS Collection, which is not that much… but there IS something to cheer me up. I’m gonna have to wait a year, though!

sims-3.png
Yep. SIMS 3 is coming out in 2009! Wahoo — I’m definitely gonna get it for myself, but I still don’t know on what system this can be played on (please be WII, please be WII). I’m not even sure if I can wait that long…

Well yup. There’s the SIMS 3 Trailer. If you think the guy is weird, that’s actually a Sim. They made it like that — I know. The first time I saw it, I was like, “What the…”

So… didn’t I tell you that the three stranger people were coming? They arrived at our house at about 10:00 PM last night. Just so you know, it’s not that bad, but… I’m not used to it at all. I’ve never seen them in my life before.

Okie dokie. I’m not sure on what to say now, so let’s just save the rest for another time. Thanks for stopping by!

More iPod and pics

March 21, 2008

Well, now that I have my iPod, I’ve downloaded about eight songs last night, and yes I’ve been listening to it 24/7. I have Avril Lavigne, Chris Brown, Superbus (French rock band), Mariah Carey, Mims and Queen so far. I know, it’s not that much, but it took a little while to get it all in, cause’ I was completely clueless about iTunes.

avril-lavigne.png chris-brown.png superbus.png
mariah-carey.png mims.png queen.png

Anyway. Enough with that — I’m SO glad it’s finally Friday. Now, I have some time to chill and sleep in… and hang out with friends… listen to more music… whatever.
The NOT cool thing is that these three people I don’t even know are coming to our house to stay for two days. I guess they’re my Mom’s long-time-no-see friends, but still, it’s gonna be weird… yet annoying, too. I mean, how would YOU feel to see some strangers at your house for two days, at the dinnertable eating with you, watching TV with you, playing games with you and all that relative stuff? Ugh.

So anyway. I don’t know what to add… so just tag along with me some other time. Peace!

UNBOXED: iPod Nano

March 20, 2008

Yes, my iPod came today! I might as well mentioned before that it was actually coming tomorrow, but nope. It came today — I’m real amazed on how fast this arrived… it got shipped like, two days ago or something, and here it is, in my own hands.

my-new-ipod.png
This thing is crazy — I have NO idea on how thin it is, but seriously! The sides are like three millimeters!

Of COURSE I am going to download iTunes and upload videos and all that crap. I’ve never had anything like this… sure, the color MAY be all simple and plain, but it was the cheapest out of all the colored Nanos. Mine, as you can see, is 4GB. Wahoo!

This thing is amazing, though. Now, there’s a search engine, so if you get lost in all of your Songs, Bands, Singers (etc.), use the search machine. Also, there’s a coverflow, now. You can just scroll around on the Menu pad on the coverflow, and it shows different album titles you have on the menu. It’s pretty sweet — I don’t have that many songs right now, so I’m just gonna go off with my Nano!

I’m a-lev-in!

March 19, 2008

WAHOO! Happy b-day to me! Today was preeeetty awesome, cause’ my Mom bought 24 cupcakes for my class, so we had a little snack-down before lunch… haha. It was funny. At lunch, a bunch of people were giving me cookies and chips and stuff.

Well, other than being eleven, today wasn’t much fun as I expected. Sure, it’s my birthday, but that doesn’t mean it’s all fun and games. We did a LOT of math today, I don’t know why. Our homework is terrible, too. It’s all about angles, degrees, shapes, triangles, squares, rectangles… ugh. Too much.

The good news is that my iPod is coming on Friday — I CAN’T WAIT!!! I heard that the new Nano was sleek and slim, and extremely thin.
apple-ipod-nano-silver.png
I want mine NOW! The cool thing is that my Dad ordered this off the Internet, and it’s customized, so as soon as I see this thing arrive at my door, there’s gonna be my name on the back. Awesomeness.

So anyway… I think that’s all, so I’ll just see ya later. HAPPY B-DAY TO ME.

HOUND DOG Experience – tomorrow!!!

March 18, 2008

Yep. My b-day is TOMORROW — and I just can’t wait (for some reason). Well, yeah. Now I’ll finally get a taste on what it’s like on being in Junior High…

So anyway… I know that you’re confused by the whole HOUND DOG thing — but HOUND DOG is actually a band name from Japan. I gotta say, the songs are sorta tacky, but still gives you good memories, like NAMIDA NO BIRTHDAY.

hound-dog.png
This guy looks like Elvis Presley, haha.

Well… yeah. The song IS sort of relaxing, but… still. Like I said, it’s kind of tacky. I like it though, cause’ it gives you birthday memories. I’m not sure on what to say now, so I’ll just catch you later in the week. Have a good one!
-Sakura Liu
P.S. once again, GET ME A PRESENT BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE!
